INSURANCE FOR PILOTS BY PILOTS
PILOT DISABILITY COVERAGE / LOSS OF LICENSE
Insurance Coverage for a Loss of Medical is available to commercial pilots should they become medically disqualified and unable to continue their duties as a professional pilot. This coverage can stand alone or supplement the optional Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage provided through the employer.  Currently, the majority of airlines and aviation employers only pay a portion of the pilot's annual income through the disability coverage provided, usually 50%-60%.
